AGRADU

Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda

The application for the Summer 2015 Internship is closed! Thank you to all those that applied. If you're interested in the Summer 2016 AGRADU Internship Program then check back next Fall for application details.

AGRADU is a Campus Y organization that offers UNC students with an internship opportunity. The internship program aims to support grassroots organizations by doing a variety of community advocacy work. Such projects include providing HIV/AIDS and medical services, supporting orphans and vulnerable children, and organizing economically-empowering community groups by providing business and financial training.

AGRADU provides UNC students with the opportunity to intern for 8 weeks with our partners in Uganda. Each intern will be sent to work on-site with a Ugandan Community-Based Organization (CBO) to aid in project implementation and to experience first-hand grassroots organizing.  AGRADU serves as a bridge for interns.  It is important to know that all interns are expected to have a sense of individual responsibility and ethical conduct. All interns are responsible for creating and implementing their own projects; however, AGRADU will support you in that effort.
